‘Reconnecting: A Graphic Novel about Inclusion’ is a project organised by Dr Iona Murphy, alongside other fellow illustrators. This projects aim was to visual convey a narrative which was created by a group of young people about their experiences surrounding both inclusion and exclusion.

This project had both onsite and remote responsibilities. I was able to travel to Sheffield to complete in person sessions with the young people to discuss their ideas alongside Iona, and I completed the main portion of the graphic novel remotely, which I was able to take back to the students to review.

By participating in this project, I was able to challenge myself by working to tight deadlines, as well as working in both my creative style and experiment with a video game inspired pixelated style.
